Kamran Mahbobi

Co-Founder and Managing Director of MaXentric Technologies, LLC, Kamran Mahbobi is responsible for setting the company’s product development and portfolio strategies, as well as managing MaXentric’s services operations. He has over seventeen years of experience in the design and development of wireless communication systems and technical research of advanced communications.

Most recently, Mr. Mahbobi served as the Chief Technology Officer of Tetra Tech Wireless, the wireless engineering division of Tetra Tech Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK). He was also a cofounder of eXpert Wireless Solutions, a wireless engineering company acquired by Tetra Tech. Mr. Mahbobi’s responsibilities included the oversight of wireless technology R&D and hardware and software product development and support. In addition, he led the technical consulting group of Tetra Tech Wireless, which offered RF planning, program management and system optimization services in all aspects of wireless communications. Prior to forming eXpert, Kamran served as Staff Director, Technology Planning for NYNEX Mobile Communications.

In 1997, Mr. Mahbobi was awarded the prestigious E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award in New Jersey for his exceptional achievements as an entrepreneur. Mr. Mahbobi has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. He is also a candidate for a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University.
