Solmaz Alipour

Professional Engineering Liaison at MaXentric Technologies

Solmaz Alipour has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Solmaz started their career in 1999 as a Research Engineer at Sharif University of Technology. Solmaz then worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at UC San Diego, where they focused on analyzing video compression methods. During their time at UC San Diego, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant.

In 2006, Solmaz joined MaXentric Technologies, initially as a Research Intern, where they studied the phy layer of 802.15 and developed a statistical channel model for millimeter waves. Solmaz then became a Research Engineer/Project Leader, playing an integral role in several government contracted digital signal processing research projects. Their responsibilities included planning, executing, and managing projects, as well as conducting a feasibility study of analog video technology.

In 2010, Solmaz took on the role of Professional Engineering Liaison at MaXentric Technologies, and later in 2013, they joined Qualcomm as an RF Product Engineer.

Throughout their career, Solmaz has showcased their expertise in various areas of engineering, including video compression, wireless communication, and research project management.

Solmaz Alipour obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Solmaz then pursued further education at UC San Diego, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 2003 to 2006.
