Joanne Lai

Joanne Lai is an accomplished commercial and contract manager with extensive experience in procurement and vendor management across various industries. Currently serving as the Commercial and Contract Manager and Head of Vendor Management at Maxis since February 2017, Joanne oversees a team of over 10 Contract Managers and directs contract management for a significant digital transformation project valued at $150 million. Prior experience includes transforming the procurement function at Indosat, managing approximately $3 billion in expenditure, and leading procurement and logistics at Digi Telecommunications. Joanne also held leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and EY, focusing on enterprise risk management and corporate governance for major clients. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW and ongoing studies towards a Diploma of Law at the University of Sydney.
