It's easy to accomplish goals with unlimited resources, but the most creative solutions are typically developed under constraints. We should deeply appreciate cost in both time and money, and champion solutions that provide the most value for the least resources.
It’s easy to get lost in the details and forget the overall impact of what we’re trying to accomplish. It’s important to maintain context of the broader goal, and reaffirm the why of what we’re doing.
We all bring unique insights and ideas based on our individual experiences and expertises, and we should feel obligated to share our perspectives to discussions. We should welcome challenges to our ideas and embrace rigorous discourse of ideas. We must assume good intent in our colleagues and operate with curiosity and respect. In the end, we will surface the best ideas, regardless if it comes from the most junior member or the CEO. When decisions are reached, we should commit to moving forward and iterate it over time.
We should step-up whenever we can and have a bias towards action. We should also foster a culture that also encourages others to take initiative. That means giving others the space to try new things and accepting a certain level of failure.
We should always ask how we can do things better. We should stay-up-to-date about the industry, our domain of work, technologies and technological trends, the macroeconomic environment and more. We must work together to create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
We aspire to create product experiences with thoughtful details and powerful capabilities that elicit delight and wonder. Our products should be associated with strong positive emotions, and we must push the boundaries of what members expect and believe is possible.
We strive to make decisions that are in the best interest of our members, even if that means sacrificing short-term profit. We must earn our members trust by continuously demonstrating that we place their needs first and foremost.
