Michelle Cooksey

Michelle Cooksey is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in due diligence and underwriting. Currently serving as a Due Diligence QC Underwriter at Maxwell since May 2024, Michelle provides residential lending due diligence support through comprehensive credit, income, and collateral analysis. Prior to this role, Michelle worked as an Underwriter at Credit9 from February 2023 to April 2024, where responsibilities included reviewing unsecured loan applications and verifying various income sources. Michelle's experience also includes over a decade at EdgeMAC as a Transaction Manager, where coordination and client liaison efforts facilitated flow, trade, and securitization reviews. Additionally, Michelle led due diligence support as an Independent Contractor for various lending-related projects from 2007 to 2010. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University-Long Beach.
