Dato' Sydney Tan

Dato' Sydney Tan is the Founder and CEO of Primo Fleet Sdn Bhd since August 2020. Prior to that, they worked at YPO Malaysia as a Communications Officer and Family Officer, and also served as a YPO Member and Executive Committee Member from August 2016 onwards. From 2012, Dato' Sydney Tan held various roles at Kian Hon Group, including Managing Director. During their time at Kian Hon Group, they achieved significant accomplishments such as transforming the traditional family business, implementing SAP accounting system and BOSS HR system, and earning the title of Dato' from Sultan Pahang. Furthermore, they founded and directed Maxxis Asia Truck and Bus Radial Education Centre (MATEC) and Maxxis 4x4 Club. In their roles at Maxxis International from 2012, Dato' Sydney Tan served as the Asia Marketing Director and was a member of the Maxxis Global Marketing Committee. Notably, they contributed to the global recognition of Maxxis brand and organized various conferences and events.

Dato' Sydney Tan completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

1. In 2007 to 2009, they attended Emory University - Goizueta Business School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance.

2. In 2013, they enrolled in the Executive Programme at Harvard Business School, specializing in Strategic IQs Creating Smarter Corporation.

3. In 2014, they attended two educational programs. Firstly, they completed the Customer-focused Innovation Programme at Hasso Plattner Institute. Secondly, they participated in the same program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

4. Continuing their education in 2014, they pursued an Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, with a field of study in Customer-focused Innovations.

5. In 2018, they attended the YPO Scaling Your Business Programme at the London Business School.
