Atalanta Powell

Atalanta Powell serves as the Development Director at Maybelle Center since March 2020, following a tenure as the Director of Annual Giving at St. Mary's Academy. Prior experience includes a significant role as Development & Communications Manager at The BASIC Fund, where fundraising and marketing campaigns were focused on supporting underserved communities in the Bay Area. In the media production sector, Atalanta held various positions, such as Freelance Video Producer/Director at Revolving Pictures, Producer-Writer at Indigo Films, and Senior Producer/Department Manager at Premier Retail Networks, managing diverse projects that spanned documentaries, educational multimedia, and corporate events. Atalanta Powell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies and Media from The Evergreen State College, complemented by additional education in CEL from San Francisco State University and A Level Studies in English, History, and Geography.
