Tahan Thraya

Tahan (Tom) Thraya is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and management. Currently serving as a Board Member at the U.S.-Saudi Business Council since December 2024, Tahan holds the position of Chair of the Middle East Practice and Managing Partner of Mayer Brown’s Dubai Office, a role maintained since December 2015. Previously, Tahan was a Corporate Principal Partner at Baker McKenzie from January 2005 to December 2015, where responsibilities included heading the UAE Corporate and Commercial Practice and co-leading the North American Middle East Corporate Practice. Tahan's early career includes work as an Associate in Corporate & Securities at Mayer Brown from September 2001 to January 2005. Tahan earned a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. Honors in Comparative Religious Studies and Philosophy from the University of Calgary.
