Dilip Ray

Sri Ray, a hotelier and a politician started his journey simultaneously during early 80’s, though, hotel has always been his passion. He is a law graduate and has completed his Master in Business Administration. Sri Ray is the founder and Chairman of Mayfair Group of Hotels, a leading hospitality group in Eastern India. In his journey of 35 years in hotel industry, he has brought up Twelve premium properties in various locations of India.

He was elected as MLA in 1985. He was an M.L.A. for 10 years from the Rourkela Constituency and also a Cabinet Minister of Industries, Government of Odisha for 5 years during 1990-95. He was also an Union Minister for a period of 4 years holding independent portfolio of Food Processing, Coal and Steel.
