Israel Salazar

Israel Salazar, EIT, currently serves as a Project Manager at Mayfield Renewables since May 2025, leveraging extensive experience in the solar energy sector. Prior to this role, Israel worked as an Electrical Design Engineer at Baker Electric from March 2017 to February 2025, where tasks included optimizing photovoltaic systems, coordinating with development teams for proposal packages, and creating designs compliant with local regulations. Israel's earlier experience includes serving as a PV Designer II at SolarCity, a CAD Designer at Hibrid, and a Park and Recreation Aide at Padre Dam Municipal Water District. A UC San Diego graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Israel has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability through various roles, including efforts that led to banning Styrofoam and promoting reusable alternatives on campus.
