Mary Shahid

Mary Shahid is an accomplished Environmental Attorney at Maynard Nexsen PC and Nexsen Pruet, LLC, positions held since May 2011. With a decade of experience in the General Counsel's office of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Mary served as Chief Counsel of the coastal permitting office, providing advisory support across multiple permitting programs. Prior to this role, Mary was a Partner at McNair Law Firm, specializing in environmental law from March 2002 to May 2011. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree from Vanderbilt University.
