Saji Oommen

Project Lead (pi) at Mayo Clinic Rochester

Saji Oommen has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Saji started their career as a Scientific Assistant at the Ministry of Defense, Government of India in 1990. From 1993 to 1998, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. Saji then joined Sun Pharmaceuticals in India, where they worked for six years as a Safety Lead in New Drug Discovery, gaining extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2004, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Davis, and in 2006, they moved on to become a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at National Jewish Health. Since 2007, Saji has been working at the Mayo Clinic Rochester as a Project Lead (PI).

Saji Oommen has pursued a Doctoral degree in Toxicology at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. Additionally, they have completed a Post-Doc program in Molecular Toxicology at the University of California, Davis.
