Jayla Millender

Jayla Millender is a Senior Research Technician at Mayo Clinic since June 2023, with prior experience as a Research Technician. Previous roles include Medical Scribe positions at Brown Emergency Medicine and ScribeAmerica, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Nguyen Research Group, where participation in quantitative data collection and development of methods for turtle population protection occurred. Jayla also worked as a Research Assistant at Ostional Wildlife Refuge, analyzing the mass nesting habits of olive Ridley sea turtles. Jayla holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Brown University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Africana Studies from the University of Connecticut.
