Nels Wangensteen

Nels Wangensteen is the managing partner and portfolio manager at MayTech Global Investments. Nels has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry.

Nels started their career in 1988 as a risk management officer at the Bank of Montreal. Nels then moved to The Industrial Bank of Japan in 1993, where they worked as a vice president for six years. In 1999, they became a portfolio manager at Ingalls & Snyder.

Nels joined MayTech Global Investments in 2008 as a principal and portfolio manager. Nels was promoted to managing partner in 2016.

Nels Wangensteen is a graduate of Colgate University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. Nels went on to earn their Master of Business Administration in Finance and General from NYU Stern School of Business.
