Benny Ben Rey has a strong background in system engineering and project management. Benny started their career at Orbit Communication Systems Ltd, where they served as a System Integration Engineer, R&D System Engineer & Projects Manager, and R&D Team Leader, System Engineer & Project Manager. During their time at Orbit Communication Systems, Benny was responsible for systems design, electrical designing, and project management for Satellite Communication Systems.
In 2018, Benny joined Innoviz Technologies as a System Engineer and later became a System Engineering Team Lead. Benny played a pivotal role in system testing, integration, and validation of LiDAR systems. Benny also led the recruitment and building of an R&D Production Test Line and was responsible for prototype delivery and production.
Following their tenure at Innoviz Technologies, Benny worked at Fieldin as the Head of Hardware and Autonomous Systems Engineering. In this role, they managed the hardware, mechanics, electronics, and system teams. Benny was also responsible for new hardware design, system architecture, and the development of next-generation telematics technologies.
Currently, Benny is employed at Maytronics as a System Engineering Lead, starting in 2023.
Benny Ben Rey has a diverse education history. Benny obtained a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the HIT - Institute of Technology Holon, where they focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1999, they also completed a B.Sc.T.E from the Technological Education Center Holon, specializing in Electronics Engineering and Technological Education.
In addition to their engineering degrees, Benny has pursued further education in project management. Benny completed a Project Manager degree from John Bryce in an unspecified year, with a focus on Project Management at the business aspect. Benny also obtained a Project Manager degree from Kedem Courses in 2005, where they specialized in Project Management.
To enhance their skill set, Benny has taken several short-term courses. Benny completed a Product Management degree at the Israel Export Institute in 2018. In 2017, they attended Sela Grop to learn about transitioning from an employee to a manager.
Before pursuing higher education, Benny attended Kfar Tzvi Sitrin from 1989 to 1991, where they received a Practical Engineer and High school Science Teacher degree. Benny'sfield of study during this time was focused on Control Systems and Computers.
