Amina Gillum-Brown began their work experience in January 2021 as a Multilingual Tutor and Educational Liaison at Berkeley Unified School District. Amina held this role until June 2021. In January 2023, they volunteered at WomenShelter of Long Beach. Later in 2023, they joined Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program as a Mental Health Technician.
Amina Gillum-Brown completed their high school education at Berkeley High School from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a High School Diploma. During this time, they focused their studies on becoming an aspiring mental health professional. Following their high school graduation, Amina enrolled at California State University, Long Beach in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Amina is expected to complete their degree program in 2024. Additionally, in February 2022, Amina obtained a certification in Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research from the CITI Program.
