Kariem Hoosain

Kariem Hoosain has extensive experience in leadership and governance, currently serving as the Chairperson of the Forvis Mazars SA National Governance Council and as a Partner and Regional Monitor for Africa at Forvis Mazars in South Africa since January 2009. Responsibilities include integrating operations across all South African offices, overseeing business development, finance, IT, talent management, marketing, and communication, as well as promoting external growth and managing mergers and acquisitions for Mazars Anglophone Countries in Africa. Prior roles include Acting Country Risk Manager at the Council for Medical Schemes, CEO of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors, and Corporate Executive at the Auditor General of South Africa. Kariem Hoosain holds an MBA in Business & Accounting from Stellenbosch University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from UWC.
