Robert Valle is the vice president of information technology for Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). In his current role, he is responsible for driving all aspects of information technology, including IT strategy, application development, infrastructure, data/analytics and enterprise security.
Prior to joining Mazda in 2017, Rob Valle spent over 30 years at IBM where he held leadership roles in regional CIO support, application development, technology deployment, process re-engineering, and consulting. He has worked in IBM manufacturing, services and sales. In addition to automotive, he supported IBM clients in a variety of industries including insurance, pharmaceutical, health care, and public sector. His career includes over 15 years of executive management including Business Information Executive for IBM Americas, Director of CIO Services for IBM North America and the Director of Global Sales Applications. In North America, he formed the geography’s data quality team and helped pioneer data quality and analytics programs. Valle is also a certified executive project manager, with extensive experience in successfully driving large, complex programs and leading organizational change.
Rob earned MS and BA degrees in Computer Science from Pace University and New York University. He currently resides in Southern California.
