Glenn Gerstell is a seasoned legal and security professional with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies since February 2020, Gerstell previously held the position of General Counsel at the National Security Agency from August 2015 to February 2020. Notable public service roles include Commissioner for the District of Columbia Homeland Security Commission, appointed by Mayor Gray, and Member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, appointed by President Obama. Gerstell also held leadership positions such as Managing Partner at Milbank LLP and Chairman of the Board of Directors at the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority. Gerstell holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from New York University.
