Dr. Giuseppe (Joe) Mazza

Dr. Giuseppe (Joe) Mazza has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dr. Giuseppe (Joe) founded Mazza Innovation in 2011 and held the position of CEO, where they developed and executed strategies and provided overall direction for the company. Prior to founding Mazza Innovation, they worked as a Principal Food and Bioscience Researcher at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada for almost three decades. Additionally, they also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Health at The University of British Columbia from 2000 onwards. Dr. Mazza's academic career began in 1985 when they became an Adjunct Professor at the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Giuseppe (Joe) Mazza obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Food Science and Technology from the University of Manitoba between 1970 and 1973. Dr. Giuseppe (Joe) further pursued their education at the University of Alberta, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Food Science and Technology from 1977 to 1980.
