Space Defense Project Lead at MBDA

Clément Christomanos has a diverse work experience in various industries. Their most recent position is as a Space Defense Project Lead at MBDA, starting in April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Emerging Technologies - Future Systems at MBDA from April 2021 to April 2022.

Before working at MBDA, Clément was an Engagement Manager at Aerospace & Defense Consulting Group from February 2020 to March 2021. In this role, they managed a team of over 20 engineering consultants and oversaw customer engagements with strategic Aerospace & Defense accounts. Clément was responsible for resource allocation, cost management, schedule adherence, and maintaining quality of delivery. Clément also handled customer relationships, negotiation, and new business development.

Clément was also involved in the field of robotics and drones as a Shareholder and Co-Founder & CEO of UAVIA. Clément played a vital role in developing the Uavia Robotics Platform, which enables industries to connect autonomous drones and robots to the cloud. This platform allowed multiple users across the globe to utilize Uavia's artificial intelligence technology. Clément was with UAVIA from November 2013 to January 2020.

Additionally, Clément has work experience at Thales as a Systems Engineering Intern, where they worked on the specification and development of an IVVQ tool for the Mid-Life Update of the Indian Air Force Mirage 2000 fighter aircrafts. Clément was also a Réserve opérationnel (Operational Reserve) at Armée de l'air, specifically in Escadron de Chasse 01. 012 'Cambrésis' (EC 01. 012 Fighter Squadron).

Clément Christomanos has a diverse background with expertise in space defense, emerging technologies, aerospace & defense consulting, robotics, and engineering.

Clément Christomanos obtained their Diplôme d'ingénieur in Embedded Systems Engineering from Télécom SudParis, a degree they pursued from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they also attended a program on Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Stanford University, offered by the Stanford University Center for Professional Development. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, they completed their Classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles in Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Faidherbe. Clément also holds a Baccalauréat scientifique - Mention Très Bien from Lycée Darchicourt, which they obtained in 2009. Additionally, they have certifications including a TOEIC score of 980/990 from ETS Global in 2014 and a Sailplane Pilot Licence with an Aerobatics Rating from Direction Generale de l'Aviation Civile in 2005.
