David Frier currently serves as the Head of Manufacturing Operations Capability, Planning and Business Improvement at MBDA since September 2017. Prior to this role, David held various leadership positions at Jaguar Land Rover and BAE Systems, where responsibilities included managing high-volume production environments and operational performance. Notably, David was the Lead Production Manager at Jaguar Land Rover, overseeing a press shop with approximately 650 personnel. At BAE Systems, David served as Site Manufacturing Manager and Deputy General Manager, managing a £30M+ turnover business and producing up to one million small arms ammunition units daily. David's previous experience also includes significant roles at Airbus, where responsibilities ranged from Operations Manager for autonomous businesses to launching new manufacturing facilities for the A380 program. David holds an MSc in Engineering Business Management and a BEng in Computer Aided Engineering from the University of Warwick and the University of Huddersfield, respectively, along with a Fellowship in Manufacturing Management from Cranfield University.
