Nelisa Masuku (Cand.Sci.Nat.)

Nelisa Masuku is a Junior Geologist at Mbuyelo Coal, where responsibilities include grade control, report writing, wireline logging and interpretation, as well as borehole analysis since March 2023. Previous experience includes roles as an Exploration Geologist at Ultracoal Group, and as a Trainee Geologist at Lufuno Lenvelo Consultants, focusing on soil sampling, profiling, geotechnical investigations, and project management. Additional experience encompasses an internship with Mmadibuke Consulting and Projects (Pty) Ltd, involving environmental impact assessments and compiling assessment reports. Prior to these roles, Nelisa served as a Laboratory Demonstrator at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, assisting students in mineral microscopy and ore deposit studies. Nelisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Science and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology of Ore Deposits, both from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
