Jim Miller has extensive experience in coaching and leadership, currently serving as the Associate Head Baseball Coach at Kellogg Community College since August 1997, focusing on the development of young athletes both in sports and academics. In addition to coaching, Jim has worked at MC Sports as a Team Sales Representative since October 1994, where responsibilities have included various roles, culminating in Store Manager before transitioning to devote more time to coaching. Jim's leadership skills were further honed during a distinguished career as First Sergeant in the US Army from November 1970 to February 1992, completing the full duration of active duty. Jim holds a high school diploma from Climax-Scotts and has pursued further education at Central Texas College and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy.

Founded in 1946, MC Sports began as a single store operation in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The original name, Michigan Clothiers, reflected the wide range of products offered by the first store. From men’s clothing to military surplus, the original store was a favorite shopping destination for local residents. Refining its business strategy in 1962, the company changed its name to MC Sporting Goods and focused entirely on quality sports equipment, footwear and apparel.
