Tashfin Bashar

Tashfin Bashar, MBA, CSPO has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tashfin is currently serving as the Senior Director of Business Analytics & Reporting at MCAP since February 2022. In addition, they are a Member at Bangladesh Angels since March 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Tashfin held multiple positions at Scotiabank. Tashfin served as an Associate Director in the Funding and Liquidity Reporting department of Group Treasury from March 2020 to February 2022. Previously, they worked as a Manager in the same department from March 2017 to March 2020. Tashfin also gained experience as a Manager in Digital Channels in the Canadian Banking division from August 2016 to February 2017. Furthermore, they worked as a Senior Analyst in Strategy and Change Management in Global Banking and Markets from April 2016 to August 2016. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Analyst in North American Business Payment Products from November 2014 to March 2016. Tashfin started their career at Scotiabank as an OLB Business Analyst in Trading & Customer Service in the Canadian Banking division from May 2014 to October 2014.

Before joining Scotiabank, Tashfin worked as a Marker/Grader at Goodman School of Business - Brock University from September 2013 to December 2013. Tashfin gained additional experience as a Market Survey Analyst Intern at HRWARE from May 2013 to August 2013.

Furthermore, Tashfin worked as an Associate Manager in Business Development & Corporate Affairs at MM Enterprise from December 2011 to June 2012. Tashfin also served as an Associate/Senior Executive Officer in Portfolio Management at BRAC EPL Investments Limited from October 2010 to October 2011. Prior to that, they worked as an Analyst/Executive Officer in Research at AIMS Bangladesh Limited from October 2009 to September 2010.

Tashfin's early experience includes an internship at HSBC in Account Services from May 2009 to July 2009. Tashfin also worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Business at North South University from September 2008 to April 2009.

Tashfin Bashar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance & Accounting and Business Policy & Strategy from North South University. Tashfin further pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Co-op degree in Finance from Goodman School of Business at Brock University. Recently, Tashfin attended the University of Toronto for Continuing Education in Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance and several Excel and data management certifications.
