Syed Sohail Ahmed has extensive work experience in the fields of compliance and auditing. Syed Sohail started their career at A.F. Ferguson & Co. as an Audit Senior, where they led large teams in conducting statutory audits and validating financial reporting packages. Syed Sohail also worked as an Associate Consultant in Risk Advisory Services, where they supervised an internal controls assignment for Allied Bank Limited.

In 2008, Syed joined MCB Funds and held various roles within the compliance department. Syed Sohail served as an Assistant Vice President/Senior Manager for Internal Audit and Compliance, a Senior Assistant Vice President/Head of Compliance, a Vice President/Head of Compliance, and is currently the Senior Vice President/Head of Compliance. These roles involved overseeing compliance activities, developing risk management frameworks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Syed Sohail Ahmed's education history includes obtaining a Master of Economics & Finance degree from Karachi University in 2013. In 2012, they also received certification as a Certified Internal Control Auditor from The Institute for Internal Controls. Prior to that, they earned an Associate Public Finance Accountant degree from Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants in 2009. Syed Sohail also holds the designation of CA Finalist, which they achieved from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in 2009. Syed Sohail Ahmed completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting, Economics & Finance from Karachi University in 2003. Syed Sohail has also undertaken Foundation & Intermediate level courses in Accounting and Economics from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in 2002. Syed Sohail 'searlier education includes a Higher Secondary School Certificate in Mathematics from Government Adamjee Science College in 1999 and Matriculation with a focus on Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from Gulistan Shah Abdul Latif Boys School in 1997.
