Barry Akers-Donnelly has a diverse work experience in the information technology field. Barry started their career in 2006 as a Multilingual Service Desk Analyst at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Barry then moved to NSG Pilkington, where they worked as a Multilingual Service Desk Analyst and later as a Service Desk Team Leader and Service Desk Manager. In 2013, they joined LANXESS as a Global Service Desk Manager and later took on the role of Service Delivery & Business Relationship Manager. Currently, they are working at McBride as a Service Delivery Manager, and they will soon assume the role of Head of IT Service Delivery & Assurance.

Barry Akers-Donnelly attended The University of Salford from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a 2:2 degree in Spanish and Italian with Translation and Interpreting Studies. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including Certified Instructor in Les Mills BODY PUMP from Les Mills UK (LMUK) in 2020, Foundation Certificate in SIAM from BCS EXIN in 2018, ITIL Intermediate certificate in IT Service Transition from QA Ltd in 2017, Business Relationship Management Professional from APMG International in 2016, ITIL Intermediate Certificate in IT Continual Service Improvement in 2015, and ITIL v3 Foundation in 2013.
