Chris Carpenter

Chris Carpenter serves as the Dean of Student Academics and Director of Student Academics at McCallie School since August 2016, overseeing student academics in the Upper School and coordinating a non-traditional term called Tornado Term. Prior to this role, Chris worked as an Educational Consultant at Lamp Post Group from May 2013 to August 2016, where responsibilities included directing a summer program focused on entrepreneurship for high school students. Chris also has experience teaching American History and World History at Episcopal High School and Girls Preparatory School from August 2004 to June 2008. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Memphis and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
