Elsa Mercado

Elsa Mercado, Ph. D., currently serves as the Manager of Workforce & Community Engagement at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and as a DEI Consultant for Education Design at ModelExpand. Prior to these roles, Elsa was the Diversity Equity, and Inclusion - Education Lead at Nike. Academic experience includes serving as an Instructor of Record and Assistant to the Latinx Studies Program at Vanderbilt University, along with a role as Assistant Editor. Early career positions include Sales Representative at Lipman Brothers / R.S. Lipman Company and Community Relations Coordinator at the United Community Center. Elsa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Spanish Language and Literature from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
