Ltg Tom Seamands

LTG (Ret) Tom Seamands is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in military and personnel management. Currently serving as a Senior Principal at McChrystal Group since January 2021, Seamands previously held the role of Chief People Officer at HQDA G1 for the US Army from May 2017 to October 2020. Additionally, between June 2015 and April 2017, Seamands served as the Commanding General of the United States Army Human Resources Command, focusing on personnel readiness and supporting soldiers, veterans, and retirees. Earlier in their career, Seamands was Program Manager for General Officer Management in FORSCOM from January 2007 to July 2012. Academic credentials include a National Security Fellowship from Harvard Kennedy School, a degree in National Security from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master's in Business Management from Webster University, and a degree in Management from the University of Dayton.
