Paul O'Brien

Paul O'Brien currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer for the Society of Construction Law New Zealand and holds the position of General Manager Commercial for McConnell Dowell in New Zealand and the Pacific. With extensive experience in construction and commercial management, Paul O'Brien has been a Director at Construction Information Limited and ConVio Consulting Limited, along with serving as an Adjudication and DRB Panel Member for the Building Disputes Tribunal. Paul O'Brien chaired the Commercial Working Group at the Registered Master Builders Association of New Zealand and has held senior management roles at Dominion Constructors Ltd, Fletcher Construction, and Leighs Construction. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, an EY Darden Executive Management Programme from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and multiple degrees in Law and Construction.
