Volkmar Thomas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Sustainability Specialist at McDermott International, Ltd, since March 2022, Volkmar has successfully led the yard and marine operations team to achieve ISO 50001 certification and conducts monthly energy reviews to enhance operational efficiency. Previously, Volkmar held various roles including Sustainability Specialist and Production Engineer on the BorWin6 project for TenneT in Dubai, and contributed significantly as an Associate Production Engineer at Channeline, specializing in pipeline rehabilitation projects for high-profile clients. Further experience includes serving as a Lead Design Engineer at Anticorrosion Protective Systems and starting a career as a Junior Engineer at Creative Events Solutions. Volkmar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
