Margaret Sampson

Margaret Sampson is a highly experienced attorney currently serving as a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery since July 2022. Prior to this role, Margaret held the position of Partner at Baker Botts LLP from September 2015 to July 2022, and at Vinson and Elkins from September 2000 to September 2015, returning to Austin in 2012 from the Palo Alto office of Vinson and Elkins. Margaret holds a Doctor of Law degree from The University of Texas at Austin, obtained between 1997 and 2000, alongside a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular and Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine (1992-1997), and dual undergraduate degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, both from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in 1992.
