Michael Hilkin

Michael Hilkin is a Partner and Counsel in State and Local Tax at McDermott Will & Emery, where expertise includes navigating complex international, federal, and state tax issues for corporate clients, including public and private companies as well as private equity and hedge fund investors. Prior experience includes serving as Counsel at Eversheds Sutherland and as an Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP, Alston & Bird LLP, and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, focusing on tax implications of private equity investments, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance transactions. Michael Hilkin earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Northern Iowa.
