McCarthy has successfully represented one of the largest employers in Mobile County in five jury trials focused on race discrimination, hostile work environment, and discriminatory pay and promotion, achieving defense verdicts in each case. Prior to this role, McCarthy served as a Partner and Attorney at Hand Arendall from 1986 to 1997. McCarthy earned a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Alabama School of Law between 1983 and 1986 and holds a degree from Illinois State University.
