Crsp Dan Deroche

Dan DeRoche, CRSP has a rich work experience in the health, safety, and environmental field. Dan began their career as a Journeyman Steamfitter, Pipefitter, and Plumber at Local 488- United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters from 1997 to 2006. Dan then joined Jacobs Industrial Services as an HSE Coordinator and Trainer in 2006 before moving to KBR Industrial. At KBR Industrial, Dan held various roles such as HSE Lead/Manager/Lead Trainer from 2007 to 2011, Workforce Development Manager from 2011 to 2015, and Senior HSE/Training Specialist from March 2015 to August 2015. Currently, Dan is working at Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. where they have served as the Corporate HSE Manager since October 2015. Recently, they have also taken on the additional responsibility of being the Director of Health, Safety, and Environment starting in May 2022. Dan is dedicated to ensuring the implementation of corporate values, code of conduct, and human resource practices throughout the department while supporting the development of their team members.

Dan DeRoche, CRSP has a diverse education history. Dan obtained a Diploma of Education with a focus on Occupational Health and Safety from the University of New Brunswick from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Health, Safety & Environmental Processes Certificate at the same university in 2019. In 2015, they gained certification as a Certified Training Professional in Workforce Development and Training from the Canadian Society for Training and Development. Additionally, in 2014, they became a Certified Master Trainer from the American Society of Training and Development.

In terms of technical education, Dan completed a Journeyman program in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and Steamfitting at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2001. Dan also obtained NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) certification, with Gold Seal certification, from ACSA (Alberta Construction Safety Association) in collaboration with the University of New Brunswick in 2008.

Dan has also pursued further certifications outside of their formal education. Dan obtained the Morgan Construction: Leadership Essentials certification from Dale Carnegie Training in November 2022. In April 2022, they became a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. Prior to this, in July 2014, they obtained certification as an MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) Certified Practitioner from Psychometrics Canada.
