Joanne Lee has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in management consulting, technology, and healthcare. Joanne currently holds the position of Vice President of Technology at McElhanney. Prior to this, Joanne held roles such as Principal at TOBE Consulting Inc, where they focused on strategy, operations, and enterprise IT systems, and Principal Research Director and CIO Advisory at Info-Tech Research Group. Joanne also served as the Chief Program Officer and Executive Director of informatics at Fraser Health Authority and Director of CIO Advisory and Digital Health Practice Lead at KPMG Canada. Earlier in their career, Joanne held various leadership positions in the Provincial Health Services Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health. Additionally, they worked as a Strategic Management Consultant at Courtyard Group and as a Director at Cancer Care Ontario. Joanne also has volunteer experience in medical outreach, having co-founded a medical outreach NGO in India.

Joanne Lee completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of British Columbia from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Business and Health Policy at the University of Toronto from 2002 to 2004. Prior to their nursing studies, they studied Economics and Philosophy at The University of British Columbia from 1988 to 1991. Additionally, Joanne also obtained a degree in Health Executives from the Canadian College of Health Services Executive.
