Joshua Beck began their career in 1993 as the President of Beck Discovery Laboratories, where they designed and developed a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) solution called RCM-Right. Joshua then moved to National Auto Care in 1994, where they served as IT Manager, leading a 4-person team to manage all facets of information technology. In 2000, Beck took on a Technical Consultant role at Forte' Data Systems, Inc., where they engaged clients to understand core business objectives and provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations for transaction processing applications. In 2001, Beck was promoted to Application Manager - Online Services at EasyCare (APCO), where they led technical teams in all aspects of web-based application development and database management. From 2007 to 2015, Beck worked at Target as a Technical Architect Consultant, where they were responsible for all basket processing systems in Target's 1700+ physical stores and 60K endpoints. Joshua was also the primary architect for Target's Point of Sale (POS) Systems in the US and the technical lead for data security consulting for Target's banking and credit card operations. Since 2015, Beck has been the Product and Development Manager of 5 customer facing applications built in C# and MS SQL at MCG Energy Solutions, LLC, where they are responsible for Control Area Scheduling (CAS) and Energy Accounting (EAS).
Joshua Beck attended the University of Cincinnati from 1991 to 1993, studying Nuclear Engineering. Joshua then transferred to The Ohio State University from 1993 to 1996, where they studied Computer and Information Science. In 2010, they obtained the CISSP certification from ISC2.
