Josh DeFord

Josh DeFord started their work experience in 2016 as a Human Resources Extern at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. Josh then joined the Starwood Associate Development Program at W Hotels from 2015 to 2016, where they held the role of Welcome Agent. In 2017, they had various internships at Small Army, SmithBates Marcomm Solutions, and Hill Holliday, focusing on digital services and design. Josh also worked as a Front Desk Supervisor at Running Y Ranch Resort during that time. From 2018 to 2019, Josh worked as a Welcome Agent (Front Desk) at W Hotels. Josh then joined Drumroll as a Jr. Office Manager, followed by a promotion to Associate Project Manager from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, Josh joined Wunderman Thompson Performance Marketing as a Project Manager, before transitioning to their current role as a Project Manager at McGarrah Jessee starting in 2022.

Josh DeFord attended Boston University from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a minor in Hospitality Administration/Management. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor's degree in Advertising from Boston University. In 2022, they enrolled at Austin Community College and completed a certificate program in Project Management. Josh additionally obtained the Agile Foundations certification from LinkedIn in August 2020.
