Irene Simier

Irene Simier is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as the Control Systems Lead at McGill Formula Electric since September 2021, where Irene led the design of a PID-based control suite for a 4-wheel drive race car, resulting in significant performance improvements. Irene has also contributed to software integration on STM32 microcontrollers and hardware simulation using IPG CarMaker. Additionally, Irene held an Electric Powertrain Intern position at Pratt & Whitney, focusing on battery solutions for hybrid aircraft and developing automated modeling tools. Irene's experience further includes a Systems Engineering Intern role at Introspect Technology, where Irene engaged in hardware testing and PCB design. Irene's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace from McGill University, complemented by earlier studies at Lycée Français de Madrid.
