Robert Platt

Robert Platt is a distinguished Professor at McGill University, holding the position of Interim Chair in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health, as well as the Albert Boehringer I Chair in Pharmacoepidemiology since October 1996. In addition to academic responsibilities, Robert Platt is the Owner of Robert W Platt Scientific Consulting, established in October 2000, providing expert advice on the design and analysis of clinical and epidemiologic studies for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Previous experience includes consulting for Debiovision from 2001 to 2009 and serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington from September 1993 to September 1996. Robert Platt holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Washington, an MSc in Statistics from the University of Manitoba, and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from McGill University.
