Sherif Emil

Sherif Emil currently holds the position of Mirella & Lino Saputo Foundation Chair in Pediatric Surgical Education and Patient and Family Centered Care at McGill University Faculty of Medicine, alongside serving as the Associate Chair for Education and Departmental Citizenship in the Department of Pediatric Surgery. Sherif Emil has been the Director of the Harvey E. Beardmore Division of Pediatric Surgery at The Montreal Children's Hospital since November 2008. Previous roles include Chief of the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of California, Irvine - College of Medicine from September 2015 to October 2018, and attending staff pediatric surgeon at the same institution from December 2001 to October 2008. Educational background includes an M.D.,C.M. from McGill University obtained between 1987 and 1991, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan from 1982 to 1986. High school education was completed at Cairo American College, graduating in 1982.
