Surabhi Pandey

Surabhi Pandey, Ph.D., is a research associate at McGill University since September 2025, previously serving as a doctoral research intern at Université Laval from June 2022 to July 2025, where significant contributions included conducting thermochemical tests for the oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) and performing extensive catalyst characterization using various analytical techniques. From September 2018 to August 2024, Surabhi held the role of doctoral student at McGill University, focusing on computational research where advanced models related to heat and mass transfer in reactors were developed. Surabhi's earlier experience includes working as a chemical analyst at Bureau Veritas Group, where standard operating procedures were established and laboratory tests for alkanes and petroleum analytes were conducted. Surabhi earned a Ph.D. in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Technology in Process Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
