Courtney T. Joiner

Courtney T. Joiner is a Partner at McGlinchey Stafford since May 2023, and has been an Instructor of Criminal Justice at the University of Louisiana at Monroe since August 2011. Previously, Courtney served as an Attorney at Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins, LLP from November 2014 to May 2023, representing school boards, municipalities, and private corporations in civil litigation, employment law, and workers' compensation defense, notably arguing a significant case before the Louisiana Supreme Court. From November 2012 to November 2014, Courtney was an Assistant United States Attorney, handling various litigation matters for the United States. Prior experience includes practicing as an Attorney at Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins, LLP, and Sidley Austin LLP, specializing in corporate restructuring and finance transactions. Courtney holds a Juris Doctor degree from Southern University Law Center and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
