Laura McGowan

Laura McGowan has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Laura began their career in 1998 as a National Program Manager at McGowan & Company, where they managed an insurance program for Condominium Associations and supervised a team of Assistant Underwriters. In 2003, they transitioned to the role of Regional Production Underwriter, focusing on underwriting insurance submissions and maintaining relationships with agencies in the Northeast. In 2006, Laura joined The McGowan Companies as the Corporate Vice President of Operations, where they oversaw all operational duties and implemented changes for new divisions and programs. In 2014, they were promoted to Chief Operating Officer, responsible for managing the parent company and all subsidiaries in the U.S. and Canada.

Laura McGowan pursued their higher education by completing a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature, General at the College of the Holy Cross from 1993 to 1997. During this time, they also spent a year studying abroad at the University of Sussex, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature, General in 1996. Later, they decided to advance their knowledge and skills by attending Ohio University from 2023 to 2025, where they received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Operations.
