Earlier in their career, Melinda worked as a Teacher at Homer Central School District from September 1992 to June 2006. Melinda holds a Bachelor's degree in Education with a Science Concentration, a Master of Education in Reading Teacher Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School District Administration, all from the State University of New York Cortland.
