Karlina Maya

Karlina Maya is a UX Design Intern at McGraw Hill since June 2025, bringing a background in quality assurance and research. Previously, Karlina served as a Records Specialist at First Choice Background Screening from September 2023 to May 2025, where responsibilities included quality assurance screening and client collaboration. Additionally, an experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida involved investigating distracted driving, while also fulfilling the role of an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Physiological Psychology. An immersive training program with IBM in the summer of 2023 provided mentorship in user-centered design methodologies. Karlina holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Factors Psychology and Information Technology from the University of Central Florida, alongside a Technical Certification in Digital Media Design from McFatter Technical College.
