Katie Leach

Katie Leach, Ph. D., is an accomplished professional in the field of chemistry and higher education. Currently serving as a Career Kick-Starter Workshop Facilitator and Career Consultant for the American Chemical Society since 2012, Katie has led numerous interactive workshops and provided personalized career coaching to job seekers. In addition to an adjunct instructor position at Valparaiso University, where innovative courses such as the chemistry of baking have been developed, experience as a Digital Faculty Consultant at McGraw Hill showcases a commitment to enhancing educational tools and user experiences in chemistry education. Previous roles include a Research Scientist focused on chemical detection technologies and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Rochester. Katie holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, along with multiple degrees in the same field and related areas, while currently pursuing an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Baking and Pastry Arts.
