Kevin Terry has worked in the engineering field since 1983. Kevin began their career at Fox Technology - ComRadar - ComGen as an Engineering Technician and Team Leader, where they assisted the design engineer with breadboarding circuits, fabricating PC boards, and troubleshooting SCA radios. Kevin also performed alignment and repairs on the SuperFox line of radar detectors, CB radios, and police scanners. In 1989, they joined Simclar as an MIS Coordinator, where they were responsible for administration and daily maintenance of 7 servers and 60+ workstations, TCP/IP network, firewall, telephone & voice mail system, and more. Kevin also provided remote support to out of state users using VNC and RDP, and managed the corporate wide VPN mesh comprised of 8 Sonicwall Pro/SOHO appliances. In 2010, they became a Lab Engineer at LexisNexis, where they were responsible for server and software deployments for Concordance Evolution test builds in both physical and virtual environments. Kevin managed VMware vSphere ESXi servers and virtual machines, Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, SQL Server, IIS, Vivisimo Velocity, Informative Graphics Redact-It and Brava. In 2011, they joined McGregor Surmount Corporation as a Test Development Engineer and Engineering Technician. In this role, they tested and troubleshot PCB assemblies to component level, and provided maintenance and repair on McGregor built testers as well as Teradyne in-circuit testers, National Instruments Lab Windows & LabView systems. Kevin also provided backup IT support.
Kevin Terry attended Vandalia Butler High School from 1978 to 1979, and then Montgomery County JVS (MVCTC) from 1980 to 1982, where they received a Certificate of Completion in Electronics Communications. Kevin then attended Sinclair Community College from 1983 onwards and is currently studying Electronic Engineering and Computer Information Systems. Kevin also holds an A+ certification from CompTIA.
