Clayton Cox

Clayton Cox has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in political consulting and fundraising. Clayton has been the Vice President of Federal Affairs at McGuireWoods Consulting since May 2021. Prior to this, Clayton served as the National Finance Director at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) from February 2018 to May 2021 and as a Senior Advisor to the Chair of the DNC from March 2017 to February 2018. Clayton also held the position of DNC National Finance Director at the Biden Victory Fund from April 2020 to November 2020. Clayton has extensive experience within the Democratic National Committee, including roles as the Finance Director for Tom Perez's campaign for DNC Chairman, Midwest, Florida & Georgia Finance Director, and Deputy Finance Director, South & Florida. Clayton was also the DNC Florida & Southern States Director at the Hillary Victory Fund. Additionally, Clayton has worked as a Finance Director at the Virginia Progress PAC and as a Southern Finance Assistant on the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Their early experience includes working on the Swing State Victory Fund at Obama for America and interning at the Office of Senator Claire McCaskill.

Clayton Cox completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Georgia in the period from 2005 to 2020. From 2010 to 2012, they pursued their Masters of Political Management at The George Washington University. Prior to that, they had completed their undergraduate studies at The University of Georgia from 2005 to 2010, majoring in Political Science & International Affairs. Before attending university, Clayton Cox attended Joseph Wheeler High School from 2001 to 2005.
